Ingredients:
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
A shake of nutmeg
1/2 c soy flour
1 egg
1/8 cup half and half
1/8-1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter (melted)
1/8 cup Splenda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together. With two spoons, drop smaller-than-walnut-sized pieces into deep frier. Fry for about 10-20 seconds on each side, flipping to finish cooking.
This is a very "taste and add recipe", so carb counts will vary. It is about 30 if you don't subtract fiber (I don't) or 24ish if you do. This is also counting for 12 packets of Splenda @1 carb each and up to 4tsp of orange extract. I use one package of the premelted (Nestle Choco bake) and the extract will vary according to your taste. I use about two and 1/2 cap fulls.
*I don't have any yet, but I bet that davinci orange syrup could be a substitue for the splenda and extract, or at least some of. That would cut the carbs down.
